[Tips] Guide to Level [ALL Classes]
General stuff (this assumes you're on an already
established server).
0. Get guide/beginners/beginners.shtml' target=_blank>beginner packs (paint a warpaint, upload, click send to friend and you get referral links for that server). Register your character through that link, claim price at newbie's login place after login and store the pack in warehouse.
Levels 1-70
Use your 100 silvers and go to Bird Island.
Find an archer who is hunting/power leveling there and ask him if he wants some VPs (once). If he is not in xp skill or jumping around, you can click team -> join team -> click on archer, assuming he has star on top of his head. Preferable would be archer 1-2 hitting the birds, but 3-4 hitting is fine too - for reference, birds have about 12k HP.
If they don't want, don't pester them anymore. Power leveling is a privilege. Find another archer. If they don't respond, ask one time more. Nicely - no "pvlvl plz men".
So there aren't any available power leveling people at Birdmen?
Then go to the city and jump straight up from left gate, till you get to a house, then turn right and you'll see a portal. Jump inside it, and once you see map, jump away ASAP. This is the first Hawking's island (there is second too, but if there isn't anyone there, don't brother going there). Repeat the above. If you don't get a team, scroll down.
Now as got into a team, don't go near birdmen - they hit upper 700s to you! If you die, you won't get any exp, furthermore, the team leader might kick you from the team if s/he finds you useless. Also don't randomly attack birdmen, unless they're frozen near the gates and even then it is better to follow a plvler if you have one. Birdmen have the range of 3 character spaces. Also, while you're there, pick up all the gold you can WITHOUT DYING.
The power leveler might not stick there all the time. What if he goes away? Either you find another(Warriors leveling there are a bit slower, but you can join with them too) or level manually.
After this, even if the char in question is not your final char, you can open beginner backs up to level 50 and store the rest of the items. You should have now elite armor, head and either ring or necklace. Also, get your promotions and buy the cheapest emerald in the market you can find (they go for about the same price to half the price of a meteor - you will have enough gold from picking up at birdmen).
Try to get meteors to level up your gear (elite or above preferably).
Ninja
Once you've learned all the skills, you have toxic fog, which means you can do the frantic monkeys quest (lv55) for an elite katana. While you're at it, do the artisan's feather's quest for unique katana too.
Now you should be around 71. Store a scroll with you and talk to any town captain to get to desert city (remember to get your equipment up to your level, if you don't have the mets yet (you have a chance to claim price at newbie's login place at level 15, 40 and I think it was 70 for a chance of meteor box) just use normal equips. Store the scroll, take DC scroll with you and take the jar to kill hill monsters(you can take sand monsters too for the damage bonus you get at level 70, but at level 71 they give 20% less exp than at 70 and at 72 they go green, which means much less exp). Do the jars at white named monsters while in fatal strike, I know it is tedious, but it works. However, if you want to try something else after that, find huge Birdmen or Hawking spawn (can go on stronger monsters too, but won't make a difference), jump in it and use shuriken vortex (remember to scroll out when vortex is over.
Do the jars every day, unless the server is not populated enough that the vortex gives more experience to next level, and soon you'll hit 85. Try to get a low level club that you can wear (Str requirement equal or below your strength) with 2 sockets and put rainbow gems into it. If you cannot find one for suitable price in market, just get normal club. Equip it in the offhand, buy the rage skill either at pharmacist in the market or Pedlar in Twin city, and attack birdmen in fatal strike. Do these until you get to 92, then hawkings until 97. After that, there is not much in terms of spawns, so you can level with dual katanas until 100 - you can also go AC as you have high magic defense.
At level 100, do the tower and fan quests, then make a noob, (power)level it with your ninja as team leader and in the same screen to around 30 for 2k Vps, or 40 for 4k. Take out your club, up and repair everything, buy vanilla box or two and go to lab1 until 110(can equip level 20 club then, btw=), while not in fatal strike, attack gold ghosts for sky tokens. Take a trip out to upgrade your equips, get vps if needed, exchange 17 sun diamonds for 2 meteors and go to lab2 until 115(117 if you level on Agilerats). From here, you can either FS at reddevils, or go to lab3 while trying to get lab4 token (check if you have enough defense before going in). If you do, go lab4, in which you can level until 125. After that, you have to go to Frozen grotto. You can also do the lv120 demon exterminator, in which you have to kill 5100 monsters, mostly low level, to get 5 expballs(once a day). The grotto has its own exterminator, too.
Once you reach 130, it is up to you whether you level further or reborn. Leveling further after that is worth it, if you have in mind a RB patch that doesn't contain an archer, fire Tao or warrior, perhaps even if it contains the two first ones. However, reborning earlier is kind of pointless unless you don't plan on PVPing. You can do the last level or so on equipment bonus quests, which you do now.
Trojan
For leveling, use Club-Whip - if you can, get heavy ring (Rat fan's quest in PC can give out refined and unique ones, and rarely elite). Try to get unique 2 sockets, preferably with refined dragon or rain gems - if you can't get any, just use normal rains.
After that, just melee, melee, melee the white names, especially at levels ending in 0, 1, 5 or 6, and if you can, red or black-nomad's. Don't learn weapon skills, especially rage, until at least 8-9 weapon profiency - it will make it much harder later on. And do the jars, perhaps buy enlightening if you can as it gives you expball and is cheaper than actual ones (max 5 per day, though).
Otherwise pretty much same as ninja. However, unless you plan on getting incredibly good equips, having Trojan as your starting char is only good for power leveling archers, which don't need to pvp - which means you can reborn at 120 into either water or archer, depending on do you have good enough equips on archer to not need stig at Basilisks to 2hit them, or not. Remember, you can't unreborn.
Warrior
Get your defensive equips up to your level, get wand profiency up in somewhere with superman, if you can, get uni 2 soc wand and put refined dragons in it, stock up on pots, try to do the soul of general quest if possible (the boss hits HARD), if not enough wand profiency, equip and level up in market and go to BI with your pots and superman straight to 97. Some DC spawns are good enough to get near 60 kills per superman, however, on bird island you can chain superman's on top of each other without even needing to 1hit the birds(tip: hotkey kneel so you can jump next to monster, hit it then kneel right after so you can skip attack animation). Don't forget to take the jars.
TBH, if you have equips good enough, you can go to lab earlier than 100. If you don't, no biggie. Just equip normal fan and tower, no need to do the quest for them and too long without a ninja, and go to lab. With proper equips, you can stay in lab1 until 110, then go straight to lab4 until 125, then grotto it up to 130.
If you don't want to go to lab, MC is semi-viable, if there aren't many people there so you can cycle through SMs.
If you're farming warriors, you can reborn at 120, but most probably not.
Warrior as a starting class is not very useful, but you can go warrior-warrior-water as long as you have good enough equips to not worry about someone having up to 30+ more battle power than you. For most people, warrior is just the first reborn class for reflect, and they can go to BI right after RB if they kept their talismans on.
Archer
Scatter Hawkings or Birdmen, depending on exp, until you're level 73. After that, power level a noob, even your noob, at new canyon for those virtue points until the noob no longer is 20 levels or more below the monsters you can 1-2 hit scatter. Then get 3 vanilla boxes, promotional, fly, most importantly, and load up on speed arrows and go to lab1 until 110(try to get free talis at 100 if you can, they more than quadruple your damage against monsters there). After 110, you can go lab2 at agilerats or go AC and scatter at Basilisk. Hell, if you can spare the money/time for tokens, you can go lab4 and level like you did in lab1 at 80.
After 120, try to always do the exterminator quest, as it is very easy for archers, whilst the grotto doesn't have much in terms of monsters.
Don't reborn the archer, ever. Even nonRB archer is nice, and you can use it to make your 2nd RB one.
Uni sock bow VS elite:
Elite is little better when hunting, has a bit more attack, however, if you have even refined rain or dragon to socket, uni becomes better. Uni is also much cheaper to met up.
Fire Taoist
You shouldn't really create fire Taoist as anything other than 2nd RB char. Not worth it.
So, first claim in the LV120 jar you got from first RB.
Learn the skills, and level them in, for example, Desert City mine or Mystic Castle - black named mobs preferably 20+ levels above you. Get a mana backsword to save money on mana potions. Focus your plusses on fan, backsword and bracelet.
Fix the fire meteor at 105 and 110. Try to get as much moon gems as you can, otherwise it will take around 35-40 hours of work (without moons).
As long as you have enough defenses, you can go to lab. However, it is not always the case, so you might want to check out the Adventure Zone and level there.
Water Taoist
Get first your promotions, then 2k VPS and go to lab. Team and stig people in there so you can fix your skills while getting good exp. preferably team warriors, then ninjas or archers depending on the character. If you make some connections, you can go to higher level labs too. If not, you'd best be going to MC to see if you there's anyone there that can help you level.
If there's none, get lv5-10 2sock wand, gem in, and level up in the market. Learn snow and just melee the monsters while stigged - preferably on adventure zone monsters, as those are magic damage mobs.
If you're water farming, then scratch that - marry your water, double exp, stock up on rains on water and dragons on archer and go to BI/Basilisk if you can 2hit them with scatter.
General:
Mentor:
Get yourself preferably leveling warriors as a apprentices, then archers or ninjas.
Training Grounds:
Must for archer. At elementary scatter, face towards scarecrows, scatter 5, at level 1 - 2 you can hit 6 between 2 if I remember correctly, at level 3 you can hit 8 or 10, and at fixed you can hit 11 by going between 2, two character spaces down, then right-click scatter in the middle.
Fire Taos are the next one that can use them, place 'em there. Preferably attack stakes.
Place your ninjas there too, to level toxic fog.
And place your water Taos there to hit 2 stakes with spear and speedgun/Use Fastblade or SS (can be used with BS) on scarecrows.
Warriors and Trojans can use them too for weapon profiency, exp and SS, but they don't need it as much.
If you have blessing, use the blessing instead, as you don't gain HB exp in TG.
Money: Archer can hunt for mets and items. All chars can mine in DC mine for the quick buck, or in TC mine to make money by selling House permits, which will bring in more per inventory full of ores (unless you drop ores in DC mine). Remember to market - buy low, sell around market price or a bit higher. Looting in Dis City can also give you good amount of money.
If not possible to get power leveled:
Warrior: Do the beginner guest for refined items, do the jars, then do equipment bonus quest. After that, equip yourself with a wand and superman in PC. Once you reach around 40, go to New Canyon and superman at minmacaques - you can chain even without weapon skill.
The rest of NC has fine spawns too, so you can get up to 67 there, at which point you go to DC, SM and then proceed as normal.
Ninja: Practically same as warrior, just FS at white named monsters.
Trojan: Equipment bonus quests, look out that you don't leave your proficiency too far behind though. And just melee and jars
Archer: Get to level 30, then you can scatter it manually up to 70. You can also do jars.
Fire Tao: You can level your skills a bit, but nothing expects jars, enlightening and bonus quests. But honestly, if you're 2nd RB, go to Bird Island and level with your guard there.
Water Tao: Bonus 'n wand and team people of your own level to get there faster.
This is my little guide, hope you liked it. I'm known as Lement on various servers.
