2009 Mid-Autumn Festival Quest Coming!

The 15th day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar is the traditional Mid Autumn Festival (Moon Festival) in China. Much like the Thanksgiving Day in America, it's a feast of harvest and time of family reunion.

There are many legends about this festival, but the most widely known one is the story of Chang' E.

Long time ago, Chang' E, the beautiful wife of a famous hunter, swallowed the immortal elixir granted to her husband by the queen of Heaven, to avoid it being grabbed by some evil people. Her body became lighter and lighter. Finally she flew, way up to the moon and could never get back to the earth.

Chinese believe that the full moon will bring the family peace and prosperity. Traditionally, to celebrate the festival, people will eat moon cakes, make Mid-Autumn lanterns, and then admire the bright moon with the whole family and close friends.

In 2009, the Mid-Autumn Festival falls on Saturday, October 3rd. This year, the TQ team would like to invite all of our players to celebrate this special holiday in Conquer. From Oct.1st to Oct.6th, all the monsters in CO will have chance to drop different materials for making various kinds of moon cakes. Collect them to make delicious moon cakes and win yourself bountiful prizes! It would be of great fun!
