I love hearing about love stories on Conquer- so I was very excited when I had the chance to interview Kilyko (real name: Shannon) from the Nature: Thunder server. She met her Conquer spouse in real life and moved overseas to marry him for real as well. Here is her inspiring story!
PWNICORN: Hi Shannon, how are you this evening?
Kilyko: A little chilly but good thanks. How are you?
PWNICORN: I'm great. So before we talk about the game can you tell us a bit about your real life?
Kilyko: Well, I am an American living in Turkey with my Turkish husband. I am a stay at home wife and I attend night school to learn Turkish and I have two little boys who live in America.
PWNICORN: Wow, that's cool! I can't wait to find out more about it- but first: your character on Thunder server is Kilyko and your husband's is Champiyon. What classes are they? What gears and rebirth path? Also- I'd love to hear more about your guild "The Unity".
Kilyko: Kilyko is a Water-Trojan-Archer right now for gears I have full 1 socket super dragon gem, super non blessed but their all higher level and that is the gear that Champiyon uses I have a full 1 socket various quality super dragon gem set for lower level that is what I use on Kilyko right now she is still low level and Champiyon is 131. Champiyon is pure water.
PWNICORN: Awesome and what made you both join "The Unity"? Is it a good guild?
Kilyko: TheUnity is a guild I have been with for years like over four years and it is a good guild NON PK. We strive to be honorable and have fun with the game and not at anyone else's expense. The guild leader is one of my best friends Riddik who has helped me and Champiyon many times over he is a great person and greater leader also might I add he is one of the top trojans on our server with full +12 gear.
PWNICORN: Wow, we need more nice strong people like him. Hehe. So, let's get to the fun stuff! How did you first meet your husband in the game? What's his real name- if he doesn't mind?
Kilyko: His real name is Ahmet and how we met is kind of humorous. It was a later night for me and I was bored and lonely so I logged on Kilyko and the place to be for hanging out was Ape City back then. I was just sitting there alone and all of a sudden a level 1 character named Amele tried to PK me. Lol.
PWNICORN: He had some nerve, didn't he? Haha- Then what happened?
Kilyko: Well eventually I got bored of killing him and decided to protect him, later we talked some and then he had to go. It was a few days later he contacted me on his water taoist Champiyon.
PWNICORN: Awww, how long did it take you decide to get married in game?
Kilyko: After many weeks months of just being together nonstop in Ape city doing quests together, etc. we decided to get married.
PWNICORN: When did you start to realize your feelings were stronger outside of the game?
Kilyko: I was attached to him after only a few weeks but I did not press the issue. He had feelings for me after a few months. We just felt connected and he is the type of person I can tell anything to. I had no fear of telling him very personal things even after the first time I met him. It just felt right.
PWNICORN: That is so sweet! So you moved to Turkey to be with him! How long did it take to make that decision? Was it hard?
