Axe is an implement which has been used by human as working instruments and weapon for millennia. In China, axe is included in the Eighteen Weapons of Kungfu.
According to Chinese ancient history records, axe is not a common military weapon but it was commonly used by members of the security guarding emperors, kings, nobles or generals. It symbolized the power and prestige of the guard's high-ranking employers. Also in many Chinese folklore novels, axe is a common weapon used by errantry.
